    We Lions fans are happy!

    I'm happy.

Roy Williams looks like he's going to be the fuckin' man.

    Two big touchdowns today.

Got the Eagles next week. Gonna be tough, but I'm enjoying them leading the NFC North right now.

I look at it like this:

If the Eagles win tomorrow night, they may be in for an upset next Sunday.

If the Eagles lose tomorrow night, no chance in hell they lose next Sunday.

            Damn skippy Warham.

Now if Jones can get his head on straight when it comes to that running game, it's going to get better.

The way Williams uses his hands to catch the ball ... evident on his receptions. He was a man out there amongst men.

There used to be this show on what was then known as "SportsChannel" where the guy, I forget his name, did his football picks for the week. This was about 10-12 years ago. Basically every time the Lions were on the road he picked the other team with his rationale simply being:

                  "Wayne Fontes....on the road!"

It was comical, as Wayne Fontes really couldn't win on the road.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Wayne Fontes.

I even liked seeing the guy on TV during Barry's HoF induction.

I don't think Wayne was as bad on the road as people think.

In '91, he was 4-4 on the road. That's pretty damn good. A few other years, he was 3-5.

Remember when we had the league's best offense in '95 and going into Philly, Lomas Brown guaranteed the win?

Philly hits the hail mary at the half to put them up like 31-7.

                        Something like 58-31 or 37 can't recall ...

The one season Scott Mitchell had for us.

Let's hope these Lions are turning the corner. I hope we at least give them a game in Detroit next week.

Yeah, '95 is when Mitchell had like 4,200 passing yards. Three receivers with 1,000 yards. Moore, Perriman, and Morton, I think. I could be mistaken about Perriman. Sanders also had 1,500 yards.

                          It was definately high powered.

But in the end, they sucked.

The only team ever to have a 4,000 yard passer, a 1,500 yard rusher, and 2 - 1,000 yard receivers.

                            The Great Lakes offense.

Mitchell had something like 32 TD passes and 12 INTs.

Incredible that he had that one year for the way he played after that.

I think Bobby Ross pulled him too soon against the Bengals, and that was the beginning of the end of Sanders' relationship with Ross, and he was the coach that ran him to 2,000 yards.

                            We haven't been back since.
