I'm a Cubs fan, and I don't know if I'm disappointed, or I feel it's par for the course.

I knew after that series with the Mets that they were in trouble.

That was quite a collapse. There really is no favorite this year to win the WS. Even the Cardinals aren't a favorite given they don't have a stud starting pitcher that can win 2 games by himself in the playoffs. I guess maybe the Red Sox and Dodgers would be the favorites from each league because it always, ALWAYS comes down to pitching in the playoffs.

I like Steve Stone. I've always thought he was one of the better color guys in the league. If they get rid of him for some critiicism of Baker, they don't need an analyst, they need somebody to toe the company line. Baker deserves lots of criticism, so do the rest of the guys.

People said it was a black/white thing with why people sided with McGwire...I don't know about that...but I do know this...

When the corking incident happen...there was a reporter who was the Cubs beat guy for years said that he wouldn't be surprised if that were true...that Sosa isn't the persona you see...that he may be a bigger jerk than Bonds...

the difference is he respects Bonds for being exactly what he is all the time...a jackass...

while Sosa...is a snake in the grass...acts like the cool guy in front of the camera...then steals your kids the minute it's off him...
