A lot of the younger NHL stars have come down...

Bergeron from the Bruins....

Stahl from the Canes....

Fleury from the Pens....

Spezza from the Senators....

Probably will head down to the Norfolk Scope on the 22rd when the Baby Pens come here....

I think they're 5-0 when I attend their games...

As opposed to about 0-6-1 when I go to Pens games, which you can attest to.... ;)

the Barons are playing this year. there was a blurb in the paper about some NHL guys who had "two way" NHL/AHL contracts but i don't think there were a lot of big name guys.

As much as I enjoy the game, it just isn't a big deal to most in the USA.

1. Baseball ended the strike before the possibility of missing a second season...

2. Cal Ripken's breaking of the streak...brought some interest to the game...

3. Big Mac against Sosa...

What's going to happen is the mid and small market NHL teams WILL FOLD...there's no way they won't...obviously the Canadian Market can't handle it...so who knows...what the fuck will happen...
