Driving into work this morning Rita Wylde was doing her daily "rock report" She announced that if the current VH tour "contiues to be sucsessful" that there will be a new album and tour next year.Did anyone else catch this?

It seems that there is a new stry every week. One week they are done, the next week they will put out a new album. I say fuck em. As long as Dave puts out a new album I will be happy.

This is coming from a station that thinks that 5150 is VH's biggest selling album. KLOS is not what I would call "on the money" when it comes to getting the facts straight.

It does say "IF" the tour does well, then there's "talk" of a new album. Since the tour isn't doing so well, one can hope there will be little talk

Van Halen doesn't even have a record deal at this point and tours been far away from being a screaming success, that much is common knowledge for anyone caring to look at the numbers.

Just a rumor. Van Halen can't make its mind what it's doing from one day to the next anyway and it has a history of self-imploding. Ed doesn't want anything to do with this, anyway, that much is obvious.

After this tour, I've little doubt he's going to crawl back to his bottle and that'll probably be the last we ever hear of him.

Totally agree with this part of your post, bob. We also keep hearing Sam say he's not sure if they'd release music free on the internet or if they'd do another full album or just a few songs at a time, or if they'll do anything at all. Bottom line, I guess, is that those of us that have been reading/listening to internet/radio rumors about VH long enough should know better than to try and look even a few months ahead when it comes to Van Halen (although I've been looking forward to Dave in MN for a couple of months now

First off, this debacle is destroying the reputation of Ed as a guitar

god. Secondly it breaks my heart to see big bird fronting my

I didn't say we have to like it, but there is obviously nothing we can do about it, is there? I mean, they are going to do what they want for as long as they want to do it, and we just have to deal with it. So.... If they release a new cd, don't buy it.... If they go on tour, don't buy a ticket.... It you hear a new song on the radio, change the station.... I understand that you feel like crap because Dave isn't in the band, believe me.... But all we can do is sit and wait.

You don't know what you're talking about. DJ's have connections with record companies, band managars, band members themselves, etc. It just depends on the D.J. Some of them just pull out whatever press releases came into the station that day and read it on the air, others have legitimate sources.

Well like I said, I understand.... But unfortantly we don't have any control over it.... I'd like to see Dave on stage with VH again, and I'd pay top dollar for it. But I also don't have any ill will twords Sammy.
