I just got a notice in the mail. Due to a class action law suit settlement, if you own a Toshiba DVD player purchased prior to October 15, 2004. You can make sure this piece of shit gets fixed by having the firmware corrected so the player works properly.

You may also be eligible for a cash reimbursement if you replaced your Toshiba player prior to Dec. 31, 2001.

Those class action suits are bullshit. You have to wait years for your share which is usually less than the stamp on your claim form.
