        Modify it baby.

I acquired a squier tele last year that I ditched the electronics and bridge from. I replaced them with a Rio Grande Muy Grande Humbucker, a new Fender Strat Hardtail bridge, and new pots and switch. These things do take time and energy but I repair guitars for a living and It's easy. Believe me, If I can do it anybody can.

The thing doesn't sound as good as my '70 Goldtop LP but it's not bad by any means. It's also the guitar that I can throw down on the stage or smash off the wall and I don't even have to worry about breaking it.
It's a shame that families should be torn apart by something as simple as....wild dogs

If you don't want to cut it for a full sized humbucker I strongly recommend the Duncan Hot Rail. They SCREAM. It'll turn your twangy tele into a rock machine for sure.

This is not the Jedi way to mastering guitar. Just thought I'd state it FWIW and move on..
