I was kicking back listening to a CD I made of Van Halen last night and something hit me right between the fucking eyes...

After 11 years of working w/ Spammy and making cookie-cutter tracks, did anybody notice how Eddie fucking playing like God on ME WISE MAGIC. I mean surely Ed isn't so fucking cooked that he can't realize that David Lee Roth / Eddie Van Halen are one of, if not THE greatest duo in rock n' roll history!

Dave's swagger, his cool voice, his whole demeanor just connects with Eddie's cool-cat, laid-back, smokin' cigarette-sticking-out-of-your-guitar I-am-a-badass attitude.

The chemistry was SO there on ME WISE MAGIC. I almost got choked up.

Damn, I'm starting to sound like a Spammy fan now...all weepy and shit.

Eddie, Dave Gilmour and Jimmy Page are my rock Beethoven, Mozart, & Bach.

They are various, differing styles but they are all mesmerizing.
But, Roger Waters (although I love him) and Plant (although he was wonderful) are no Dave.

Eddie had the greatest frontman of all time, in my opinion.

Goddamn, I disagree with some of my Army people. I would LOVE to see Eddie & Dave back together again. Even if it was ONE TOUR and ONE ALBUM.

It's alright, son. It's perfectly OK and normal to get all emotional over the original Van Halen lineup with Roth. Any human being in their right mind would feel the same. Take a breather, then crank something from the 6 pack to get you back on your feet, awright?
