Anyone know when this thing is supposed to be out? Last I heard it was supposed to be by Christmas?

As a side note...just imagine how many out takes and demos there are. It will make The Beatles 'Let It Be' sessions look like the Kajagoogoo anthology......speaking in terms of volume of course!

From what I have heard it will be NEVER!!! Who the hell wants to wait for that estranged nutcase named Axl; when Velvet Revolver's album is going Platinum and selling out arenas. :D

I'm just curious to listen to it. I'll listen to anything at least once.

We will have an actual Chinese Democracy before it ever gets released. GNR is done. Have been for years. The fact that people still talk about them is amazing to me.

Besides, didn't Offspring already use that title on their last album?

Nevermind, I guess Axl still holds the rights to that name.

It'll probably sound like a drum & bass Blind Melon record.

It must have been hard for Axl to realise in the studio over the last couple of years that he wasn't the talent in GNR.

What? CHRISTMAS 1994?!?
Never gonna happen. Axl+sidemen=Nothing. GNR died a long time ago. Another Van Hagar.

I believe the majority of GNR board members will say it was Izzy Stradlin who was GNR.

Who wrote the tunes you love?
Izzy.

Mr. Brownstone?
Izzy

It's so Easy?
Izzy

Focus, Brown Dirt Cowboy, focus!!!
The subject at hand(don't get excited!) is how NO new GNR recording is going to make up for the fact that Axl ruined a once great band. Kinda like Van Hagar. Never mind.

Who cares? Axl is a washed up has been who blew a great thing thinking he was god, another example of a rock star believing his own press....A shame really, early GnR kicked ass.....
Glad I went to see them live twice before it all blew up, you knew it would.....

I first heard rumor of "Chinese Democracy" as far back as like November 1999.

Rest easy, it's never coming out.

At this point, if/when it does come out, there is no possible way it would ever live up to the hype that's ben generated about it.

What hype would that be? The record company praying it will get back 10% of what they have pumped into it? Assuming it ever comes out it would have to sell HUGE to make them a dime.....

Don`t forget tht Buckethead has now left so Axl will want all his parts redone.

What I`ve heard of the new stuff ("Chinese Democracy", "The Blues", "Madagacar", "Oh my god", "Silk worms") is really good but it`s different from "classic" GnR.

I hated "Oh My God", thought it was a piece of shit.

Personal opinion, of course.

Every time somebody quits Axl's "This Week's Guns 'n' Roses" he wants their parts redone.

Fuck, wasn't he supposed to re-record "Appetite for Destruction" in it's entirety to show that the "new" GNR was as good (and better, even!) than the old GNR?

Stupid ideas just roll out of that mother fucker, don't they?

Wasn't the single "Oh My God" released in 1999?

You'd think that the album would be out within 5-6 years of that, right?

That phantom album will never see the light of day.

DLR7884
It probably would fucking suck anyways.

Axl and Sammy should do a Tubby-Twins tour of flea-markets and state fairs!

my favorite was when the record company FINALLY put their foot down and released the greatest hits album. That must have PISSED Axl off! :D

Maybe Axl should join Boston? You know they're good for at least one album a decade.

Ironic statement coming from a registered member of a fan site that hasnt toured together since the fucking 80s

Actually, a Chinese Democracy will happen before an Iraqi Democracy.

and Axl will still be a tool

A Van Hagar studio album will debut at #1 and stay there for an unprecedented 894,579,349,578 weeks before actually slipping to #2 before "Chinese Democracy" is released.

Anyone else got one?? :)
