As long as it stays on track, it should be in Main. I think this is as far as the sheep travel. Of course, they want to be where they will get the most attention.

It's plain and simple...
A mod moved it out of here because it wasn't on track...
The mods jobs are simple...
1. Keep the threads on track...
2. Get the ones that aren't out of here...
We gave it a shot...but there seemed to be a movement to get it out...
it's unfortunate...to be honest...that personal vendettas took the thread over...but it did...
The webbies will address that piece...
as for the Pen to move back in here?
Well...

I only dipped into the thread from time to time and it looked like a chat thread. A few years back we used to have a forum here for 'Bar' threads as we called them. The threads in that forum, which I used to mod, always had the most posts but they were more lke MSN or AIM than Dave Lee Roth stuff. The mods here need to cater for the casual viewer and rope them into being a regular poster to keep the place fresh. The casual viewer will always start in the Main forum and if they see a huge thread go into it. If they start reading and it's all 'in house' comments and jokes and insults then they'll get bored and quickly move on to their favourite porn site.:)
To me it looked like there were a core of maybe 8 posters chatting about any old shit. I'm guessing that's why it as moved.
None of my business really but just givng a little background.

I have to say this...
Personal vendettas have gone over to that thread a lot. It seems that when anyone had an issue with ol' Rikk, right or wrong, attacking the SHEEP PEN seemed to be the best way to solve it.
I've wanted little more than for the SHEEP PEN to remain a sheep-shearing place. I don't like the social club aspect. I don't like the girls posting shirtless pics or guys posting pussy shots part of it. I don't like the FAB war part of it. I don't like it when it's been a home for any of the fucking fighting. But I've been maybe more guilty of that than anyone.
I will say this...I feel the place has been generally back on topic more than ever the past couple of weeks. Last week we sheared BALTIMORE ORIOLE, who jumped in here attacking Dave fans, Dave and also shitting on P-MARK. Still, it was because he was a Dave-hater. We don't just throw people in the Pen because they're assholes.
Truth is, keeping it on topic seven days a week, 24 hours a day isn't always easy. We get a great new sheep recruit once every week or so...sometimes more, sometimes less. The Sheep Admins then sort of take up the time with a bunch of rather colorful characters and Sammy-oriented jokes. It's as simple as that. Shit gets off-topic. But I haven't seen the FAB war in there for a while. (Yes, the FAB war has been relegated to other threads.)
That said, I want to state this:
I'd love the PEN to get back on topic more. I can't promise that at various points during the week we would not have our little jokes about the sheep-killing characters, etc. But I do know that it should be about shearing Dave-haters and nothing else. And I would like it to remain that way. And if we could do that, I'd love it for it to get moved back.
I will also say that the "other" war is over for me. I keep getting called out by a certain person, but I really for the most part try and stay out of it. So I really hope people don't keep associating any of that shit with the PEN.
I love this place. I won't be a whiny little bitch and act as if the needs of the Pen should be above the needs of the Army. The Army is most important. But I just want to reiterate that I think the Pen serves a good purpose when on topic.

LOL. I know. Truth is, we worked really hard in the Pen. My guys come to this site just to get in there and shear sheep. It gets a lot of fun. It's like a little sub-community. In the end, does the message board matter that much? Fuck no. There's real life out there. I'm in school. I got a new woman. I got family. I eat sushi three times a week (no, that's no sexual innuendo), and believe me that sushi is important to me. I drink beer. I'm in a band. This is just a message board. I guess when I'm here, it's full-on message board mode.
