I have always been anti Dianno. I've always owned the albums, but I never dug them all that much. Lately though, I've started really getting into them. Bruce is still the man, but that music was very dark, which is very appealing to me.

I always liked Di'Anno. Just that gutteral street urchin punk look he gave them was pretty cool, and I still think the first two albums were among the best work Maiden ever did or is likely to do.
Would have been really neat if Dickinson would have gotten a crack at "Killers", though
has anyone seen the latest maiden DVD?.....it is absolutely superb....its called 'the early years'....its got early footage of gigs at 'the ruskin arms' pub in West Ham (london).....they were a great band even in those pre-album days...really solid..and its got interviews with members of the band from the late seventies....totally worth every penny!.....not sure if its been released in the U.S....anyone seen it yet?
Originally posted by DaveIsKing I almost picked it up the other day, I guess I'll do it now.
yeah do it!....trust me you wont be regret it.....loads of rare stuff thats never been seen before, quite a few songs from 'the beast' tour in 1982...but its the really early stuff that blew me away....they were soo bloody good!
