Van Hagar Not In Top 10 Tours Of 2004

According to Blabbermouth.net Billboard has released the top 10 tours of 2004 and Van Hagar is NOWHERE to be found. The #10 tour was Toby Keith and his tour grossed 44.3 million. I haven't looked at Billboard Magazine this week (yet) but I'll be on the lookout for a list. It could be on the Billboard website only which means you have to be a member to get certain information but there's no way in hell Blabbermouth would list Billboard as the source if they weren't sure. Vhagar did around 80 shows. If this holds up it's no wonder they were at each other's throats. If you had told me that they would be doing around 80 shows and would not be in the top 10 tours of the year before this thing started even I wouldn't have believed it. Now it seems as if this very well might be reality. The Pollstar list will be out in a few weeks. I'm enjoying watching the hagar fans squirm. Sometimes life is fair after all.

      POLLSTAR

Yeah the pollstar list is really detailed and should be out in a few weeks. I'll let everyone know if I find anything else from Billboard in the meantime.

Here's the article from Yahoo news:

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Madonna (news - web sites)'s "Re-Invention" tour was the highest grossing world tour of 2004, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Twenty years into her career, the 46-year-old star earned 125 million dollars in box office earnings from the tour which ended in September, selling out 55 out of 56 shows, according to Billboard.

Prince's "Musicology" tour took second place, drawing near 1.5 million people and earning 90.2 million dollars. Country star Shania Twain was third, grossing 62.5 million dollars.

The remaining tours in the top 10 includes Simon and Garfunkel (59 million dollars), Metallica (news - web sites) (53.8 million dollars), Bette Midler (news) (53.3 million dollars) and British stars Sting (52.4 million dollars) and David Bowie (news) (46 million dollars).

The Red Hot Chili Peppers headlined the top engagement of the year, with their three nights at London's Hyde Park in June grossing 17.18 million dollars and drawing more than 258,000 people.

Canadian singer Celine Dion (news) earned 77 million dollars from her residency at Caesar's Palace casino in Las Vegas this year, but Billboard said it was not a traditional tour.

I'm not surprised. Those assholes crashed and burned and shouldn't even be near the top 50 imo.

This really doesn't come as much of a surprise really, but I will be interested to see if the sheep try to defend this in their usual way of claiming that the critics are prejudice against the sisters.

What are the 9th and 10th acts? That article lists only 8 unless I'm counting wrong.

                    The list I see is:

                    1. Madonna
                    2. Prince
                    3. Shania Twain
                    4. Simon & Garfunkel
                    5. Metallica
                    6. Bette Midler
                    7. Sting
                    8. David Bowie

                              Who's Bette Midler?
Bette Midler is an actress/singer that bears an uncanny resemblance to Sammy Hagar. .. based on both being fat, old, red hair and both have FLOPPY, SLOPPY BREASTS. Bette was in a popular movie called Beaches and Sammy Hagar is just a plain Beatch. Thanks for your time..
