Go to eBay and you should be able to find ORIGINALS that are around the same price you would have paid for the reissue. In fact, you should be able to find the Dunlop reissue fairly easy as well.

I think Eyes is going for the EVH setup, so he'd better stick with the MXR. However, the ADA is a great flanger as well.

I've heard the Dunlop reissue doesn't sound as good as the original...any truth to that?

The Dunlops seem a bit quieter than my original does, but I think the originals sound warmer as a whole. Also, you don't have a wall wart with the original.

I have heard just about every flanger out there, and there are some great ones...but if you want the DEAD ON Unchained 'chug', etc. then the MXR is the way to go.

He better get rid of that 5150 II and get a Marshall Plexi then.
I had my 5150 II modified to eliminate the Van Hagar tone that comes stock in those fuckers.
I don't use 6L6 tubes anymore, it's EL34's all the way and the bias has a ton more range than stock.
But it isn't exactly the VH old school tone either, but it's bitchin for sure, and more like a Soldano than a Marshall.
I can fry a set of tubes in less than a minute if i'm not careful, lol.

Eyes, spare the extra pennies and find a vintage MXR Flanger. Once you learn to play through that beast you'll find it was worth the sacrifice, bro.

I'll say this for the stock 5150's though...they're fucking LOUD, lol.

I already have a "Line6 Modulator" that has both the 117 and the stereo flange/jet 80's ... it's all anologish so I can get away with it seeing how my setup is "rack free" ... hence the "quick fix" thread at DDLR ...

Aight BChimp ... going there nizow! ---->
