I've included some of the best ever recorded. If you voted "other", please include your own choice.....

As much as I wanted to say CHRISTMAS WITH THE DEVIL (amazing Spinal Tap song), I had to pick FATHER CHRISTMAS. THE KINKS are amazing and captured the comfortable holiday spirit perfectly.

Queenaige baby. BTW - John & Yoko? lmfaoat.

The 12 Days of Christmas by the McKenzie Bros. should also be on that list, for our fine Canadian friends.

Good choices. I voted for Lennon. Kinks, Ramones, & Elvis I like too.

Good job not including Billy Squier's or Bruce Springsteen's shit.

Merry Fucking Christmas

I heard there is no Christmas
In the silly Middle East
No trees, no snow, no Santa Claus
They have different religious beliefs
They believe in Muhammad
And not in our holiday
And so every December
I go to the Middle East and say,

"Hey there Mr. Muslim
Merry fucking Christmas
Put down that book the Koran
And hear some holiday wishes.
In case you haven't noticed
It's Jesus's birthday.
So get off your heathen Muslim ass
and fucking celebrate."

There is no holiday season in India I've heard
They don't hang up their stockings
And that is just absurd!
They've never read a Christmas story.
They don't know what Rudolph is about
And that is why in December
I'll go to India and shout,

"Hey there Mr. Hinduist
Merry fucking Christmas
Drink eggnog and eat some beef
And pass it to the missus.
In case you haven't noticed
It's Jesus's birthday
So get off your heathen Hindu ass
and fucking celebrate!"

Now I heard that in Japan
Everyone just lives in sin
They pray to several gods
And put needles in their skin.
On December 25th
All they do is eat a cake
And that is why I go to Japan
And walk around and say,

"Hey there Mr. Shintoist
Merry fucking Christmas
God is going to kick your ass
You infidelic pagan scum.
In case you haven't noticed
There's festive things to do
So lets all rejoice for Jesus
And Merry fucking Christmas to you."

On Christmas day I travel `round the world and say,
"Taoists, Krishnas, Buddhists, and all you atheists too,
Merry Fucking Christmas, To You!"

Thank you Mr. hat

I was going to vote for Happy Xmas (War is Over)but then remembered that Yoko sang on the chorus (that's the part that isn't the verse for the challenged ;) )

So I want with Father Christmas by the Kinks.

I Believe In Father Christmas - ELP is my favorite.

Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas by Paul McCartney is a pretty good choice.

That one by The Kingsmen...with Snoopy and the Red Baron...loved it as a kid.

Simply can not stand Happy Xmas (War is Over) - John & Yoko...horrible horrible horrible...

Why because it was David Bowie singing with Crosby instead of your beloved Bono?

You'd blow Bono if you had the chance I bet.

No, it's because a)that song is the worse christmas song of all time and b)Bowie and Crosby is just too fucked up a pairing.

I happen to love Bowie (and Bono also, so blow me...) but that song just sucks.

I voted U2!

But I think "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band Aid deserves honorable mention. I'll take flack, but I really like this song and it comes far closer to the true spirit of Christmas that any carol I've ever heard.

Some great alternates mentioned here. Unfortunately, polls max out at 10 choices, so I couldn't include them all.

I pretty much hate all Christmas music except the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and when some rock bands do Christmas songs, like the Darkness did last year.

There is a guy named Bob Rivers who has some "Twisted Christmas" albums and basically does a Weird Al Yankovic with they lyrics. He does mimic all of the voices and music very well. Some particular gems I like:

"Holidays", the song "Purple Haze"
"It's Jesus' Birthday" to the song "birthday", Beatles
"Santa Claus" to the song "Iron Man"

He has some other ones that parody songs like" "all you need is love", "love shack", etc.

And the best parody of all, "Jingle Hells Bells" which sounds so much like AC/DC it could be a bonus track on the next pressing of "Highway to Hell" and nobody would know the difference. Nobody, not even the clown from Krokus, can pull off the Bon Scott voice like Spike O'Neill (from the Bob Rivers show)
