Sorry all, it's been a while since I posted, and I haven't been on to read much lately. Anyway I have a pretty cool report for you all.
A couple of weeks back thepunisher threw the kids and wife in the 'ole truck for a trip up to Lake Tahoe, you know yellow snow, a little sledding, snowmen and stuff (we don't get that snow stuff down in San Jose) Met up with some friends up there in their cabin and left the kids with them on Saturday night so we could throw down some money at the casino.
Drove down to the casino's had a HUGE feast at the Caesar's buffet for 12.99 (a great deal and highly recommended BTW)
We started doing the gambling thing and after a while we decided to go have some drinks and resume the gambling. That's when I remembered the Cabo Wabo cantina at Harvey's. I ran out to my truck and sure enough my ROTH ARMY TSHIRT was there.
I put that baby on and walked into that joint.
They got Sam's red Shelby Mustang GT 500 fastback out in front. Seriously awesome car.
Anyway Cabo Wabo is a bit smaller than I thought it would be, there is a stage there. Some of you may have seen it. They pump Spam music nonstop. I did my best to try to neglect the screeching Spam sound. There's Spam memorabilia all over as well.
So I walk in with the Roth shirt, hoping to get into an argument with someone. My poor wife had no idea. I definitely got looks but no one said anything.
I suppose it helps that I am a semi-pro football player and run about 275.
One guy did come up to me and I thought this was the argument I was looking for and he actually asked where I got the shirt he wanted to get one for his brother. We had a couple of shots together and I walked outta there without incident. It seems to me like it's just another bar and the clientele aren't even really Hagar fans at all. Shit it was Saturday night and it was hardly what I would call busy.
So it was a little disappointing in respect to what I was looking for, there was hardly any eye candy except for the car. And there isn't much even in the way of Van Hagar crap there to see. Maybe next time?
Happy New Year folks.
Classic VH rules and don't you fuckin forget it!
Roth will return 2005 is our year.
