It's all four of them. With vocals, you need Mikey. Instrumentally, Ed and Al. But DAVE is the key. He's the reason I became a fan. He's what I look forward to when I put on a VAN HALEN album.

I think they all contributed.

However Dave was the man who sold the show.

Dave made an incredible backing band even more incredible.
Lyrics, Melodies, Showmanship and Image.

After Dave they became a good backing band with a bad frontman.

This year they became two bands in one, I cant decide which of
the two mini bands was worse..

Amen. Classic bands are classic bands. Page will always play excellently. Plant has some good solo moments. And the Page/Plant album is excellent. But it's not Led Zeppelin without all four members. Mind you, I actually respect all four members of Led Zeppelin.
