easy. Brett Michaels openly admits to being influenced by Dave. Same with Vince Neil, singer from The Darkness, The Salads, singer from Warrant was on Much Music talking about his "idol" DLR and without him, there wouldn't have been a Warrant.
"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"

I think Dave Mustaine refered to him as a God, but I could be wrong

He said so after the 1996 incident.

DLR influenced every lead singer in every "hair band" from the 1980's....and NONE of them came close to being half as entertaining as Dave.

            DLR7884
Pretty much sums it up, I think.

Vince Neil, obviously. Rivers from Weezer is a big VH fan, I believe.

                  ON THE MONEY.

They just saw the "rock-stud" pose, with no appreciation for the irnoy and humor Dave brought to the proceedings.

Or the originality. It's funny, how some people admire someone for their creativity and their innovations, and you pay tribute to it by being a transparent, second-rate rip-off.

p.s. of the latest crop, Justin Hawkins of the Darkness is the best. The influence is apparent, but he's doing it in his wn way. Cool vocals out of the guy too.

                    Kip Winger

Kip Winger was on VH1 Classic recently and said that he was always a fan of David Lee Roth and basically said he aspired to be that type of frontman. As several posts have pointed out already, unless you lived in a cave DLR's influence on the ENTIRE 80's rock scene was undeniable. Even Paul Stanley (who was arguably already a legend) began doing kicks in some of Kiss' videos and dressing in a similar way to DLR. David Lee Roth is one of the most influential frontmen of all time. Anyone who would debate only shows their ignorance.
                    DLR/VH IS JUST BETTER

                        Roth set the standard!

One of the greatest frontmen to ever hit the stage, still in every major music poll.

Yeah, no kidding! When is Jon Bon Jovi gonna recognize that very fact and kiss Davy Baby's feet?
