Well, Dave MADE some GREAT music but gave up the "OWNING" of Music Biz with the WHOLE Vegas thing in 1995.

Eddie is wasting his talent period.

Van Hack haven't done ANYTHING worthy of the name VAN HALEN in nearly 20 years now.

I agree, 20 years down the tubes. Even Steven Tyler and Joe Perry put away the hard feelings and took Aerosmith to new heights. They even did a Gap commercial jammin to a blues tune. I thought that was cool and just imagined Ed and Dave doing something similar. Leaving hard feelings behind can be done, they just refuse to do it. And the world of hard rock music suffers for it. There has definitly been a void in the hard rock music scene, because I have yet to see a band come down the pike that has had the impact that DLR era VH has had.

Well technically that means he wasted only 10 years :D.

He made great stuff with Vai and Sheehan, period. Then happened what happened to most rock artists/bands when grunge killed rock, but at least Dave didn't have outside composers to write music for him (unlike Aerosmith).

Eddie & Dave left their mark on the history of rock & roll in Van Halen with great music & great shows which millions of fans like myself who experienced them the first time around will never forget. BTW, even if there was a reunion of the original VH again it wouldn't be the same but the possible tour would still be successful.

Wayne. I know more about VH and Dave than you ever will.

Just because you saw them in Charlotte in 1984 doesn't mean you are any better than anyone else here.

What have you done with your life the past 21 years?

DLR7884
It must suck to have peaked at age 19....

What were you doing when the debut album from VH was released back in 78?

I was still just a twinkle in my father's eye in January of 1978.

You, on the other hand were still being breastfed.

At age 14....nice.
