Any fans of this brilliant British rock'n'roll band at this place? I first was introduced to Slade by my dad with 'Nobody's Fools' as a kid and I wasn't impressed much ('cause I've been listening to radio mainstream crap of the 90-es ), but then I've digged out a tape with 'Slade in Flame' and 'Slayed?' and ordered a full discography in a month!
Why I like them? So much to mention - Noddy's outrageous voice (Get Down and Get with it blows out my car windows), Hill's powerful guitar tone (Unbelievable what he's been doing with stone age axe and amps he had), kick-ass music and at the same time tunes like 'Everyday' and 'Cuz I Luv You' and 'My Oh My' make their setlist even more versatile. From their era, neither band can come close (IMO) - no Sweet, no Mud - NOTHING!

I wished I had at least any video of their gigs, but it have been so long ago..!

Slade are awesome, they had so many hits in Britain. I don't know if they had any hits in USA though?

Great you listen to them at your age.

I've heard they is not as popular in America, and many don't know two Quit Riot's hits are Slade covers :). Although Kevin made a great job on those.

Slade are considered as legends in Britain.

By the way, I've known Slade since I was six.

Slade is one of my favorite bands... the reason I started to play guitar-little known fact. As far as them having HITS in the US, "Run Runaway", and "My oh my" were both Top 40 hits in 1984...

I'd recommend Sladest then (both tunes are from that album) and 'Slade in Flame'. If you like them, you'll get the rest for sure.
