Metal Legend, Ronnie James Dio will be releasing a live CD on February 22 entitled "Evil Or Divine Live in New York City." Basically, it's the DVD performance of EVIL or DIVINE put on a CD. Regardless, this incarnation of the band played tremendously well. Dio’s voice was amazing and Doug Aldrich was top notch playing the Vivian Campbell & Black Sabbath classics flawlessly, and breathing life into the Craig Goldy songs from Magica. The crowd was hot, which always adds the necessary vibe for a live show.

Pre order this son-bitch now, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

I've recently heard some Black Sabbath with RJD. It's actually pretty good. His stint with Black Sabbath is definitely underated.

Voodoo from Mob Rules is one of my all time favorite Sabbath classics during the Dio era.

I have never heard Doug play Dio stuff live.

He did a damn good job. Doug was the best DIO guitarist since Viv Campbell.

Yeah, Kenny G was a rotten guitarist...sure hope that WWIII reunion goes well, though

He's involved with that, right? Oh fuck it, who cares?

Evil or Divine was a great performance, it'll be good to have it on CD. And, btw, 65 is actually a rough guesstimate...there are several different sources that place Ronnie's age anywhere between 62-68 at this point...

The performances are awesome and the band is perfectly miked. Dio doesn’t sound like a 62 year old man. His voice is damn good and delivers high notes throughout. No going through the motions or reading the lyrics off a teleprompter, Dio delivers the goods and is glad to please the fans. Truly THE metal-god. Doug Aldrich tremendously played Vivian Campbell's material and delivered a wicked version of Heaven and Hell. What a moron Dio was to not give this guy the cash raise he was due. Now we’re stuck with passionless Craig Goldy.

The Drum solo and some banter was cut out. Unfortunately, one of the best songs of the show, Lord of the Last Day, was cut out! I would rather have that song than hear The Man on the Silver Mountain/Long Live Rock N Roll medley for the millionth time.

The album is worth the cost alone for the Egypt Children of the Sea medley. Really great combo.

Highlights:
Egypt/Children of the Sea
Killing the Dragon
Holy Diver
Doug Aldrich’s amazing guitar work

Disappointments:
Lord of the Last Day deletion.

I saw Doug opening for The Scorpions & Deep Purple when he was in Dio....I had known of him for years, and met him briefly when I was living in L.A. in 1991.

Now in Whitesnake.....shit man, he is a motherfucker of a guitarist....

All jokes aside, ya gotta love DIO. Great vox.

I havent really followed his career since the 80's yet I know
90% of that songlist mentioned above. I might have to get
that one. I have seen him live, yes VIV !!! with Vivian Campbell..

You know what I had on mp3 and lost in a fucking HDD crash,
Ronnie James singing "Love is all" Thats a true forgotten gem..
Not metal, but a showcase of his voice. Anyone got this ?

Hey David Lee Rocks, Ozzy suited what he did, DIO suited what
he did. They both Rule.
