It isn't a brand new pic, though... I've seen it before, and a good ways back. Think it is from or around the July 4th 2004 show, but it may predate that even. When did David first cop the new hair/threads? Not before early 2004, if memory serves.

That last picture was one that my friend took at Mystic Lake in MN on November 7th, 2004. Dave was handing me the microphone to sing during Panama. Pretty fun. He does have that Neil Diamond type look there.

Those are gold caps instead of fillings. Caps can be made out of porcelin but on the back molars; especially on the lower jaw, gold is the best material because it's maliable and won't chip or crack teeth like porceline does.

People who have a loose jointed jaw tend to crack their molars and have gold caps back there by the time they are 50 years old. I had to have the same thing done myself. Gold works great but the only problem is you kinda look like Flavor Flav if you open your mouth too wide.
