View Full Version : Some 1st-class bands seen as underdogs

There's a bunch of them, I think, who are ill-considered (and, unlike those mentioned in another recent thread, never reached real fame), often known by connaisseurs.
The Fleshtones, when you listen to them, never sound like henchmen. Their rock would pull any raver with a °C42-fever out of his/her bed, they have that rare gt/bs/dms combination recipe, the words are often real fun... Yet they remain obscure. It's damn hard to find their records (I got 7 to this day), because they almost change labels between every album. Maybe they're happy with their underground success.

How do you consider them in the US and other countries? I also thought about the Cramps, which I dig too, or even Joy Division...
These, and others you will think of, sound much better and more sincere than many successful bands.
What do you think? I'm sure you all have your unfairly ignored favorites!

Well, anybody diggin' the tremendous Fleshtones?? Or the big, big Cramps??

Is everybody "jiving" about Abba?:D
