Yet another artist I gotta check out.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

          Ever hear his "Rememberin' Stevie"?

He had an amazing friendship with SRV and this was his tribute.

          Some fantastic blues

I've seen Buddy something like 25 times.

Last year I saw him at Summerfest when Kid Rock came out and rapped while Buddy played. It was very cool.

I didn't get down to Legend's this year to see him at his "home," but my buddies went. They said he played for 30 minutes and literally walked out the door while playing and never came back. His brother, Phil, jumped up and did a couple of songs to appease the crowd.

He looked REALLY old last summer. Skinnier, shaved head. See him while you still can!

I saw Buddy Guy in July 2004 on the north coast of France. It was TREMENDOUS.
He really had a good time that night, played with the audience (he's so humorous), impersonated J.L. Hooker for a while, started a couple of songs and then interrupted them to tell us his life, started a blues ballad and stopped after one minute, saying: "No way, man, let's play another one." But he mainly did entire songs, however. He showed us everything he could do with his guitar. And man, he can do so much!
He played "Voodoo Chile", so great. He ended walking out the stage (visibly one of his favorite tricks) keeping on playing across the hall... went out, and came back. What a rejoicing circus! Yeah! He's such a showman.

Go and see him, you lucky Yankees, if you haven't yet. And even if you already have, of course.

You have to see him at Legend's.

He can mail it in when he's not up to it, but when he feels like going off, it's amazing.

                            From last night's HOF induction:
