I know it's probably not as good as it would be back in the late 80's, but I'm wondering if these guys are still worth shelling out money for, since they're touring this summer. I'm a fan, but not a huge one...so that's why I ask.

Damn straight they are. I just saw Whitesnake with Scorpions about 2 yrs ago, and they absolutely rocked (unfortunately missed Dokken). I would highly advise you check out any and every classic metal band from the eighties (except Van Hagar & Metallica.....euuuuuuch!) KISS, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, David Lee Roth, AC/DC, Quiet Riot, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Anthrax (reunion)....see 'em all if you can.....

in the immortal words of Bob Seger....

"...today's music ain't got the same soul, I like that ol' time rock n' roll...."

I saw them a couple of years ago in Glasgow.

With a set full of "1987" classics and plenty of crowd pleasers from other eras, they`re a fun night out.

Coverdale is one of those guys who would have "Rock star" as his occupation on his CV.

I saw Kiss blow them away at the Ex about 14 years ago.

KISS might be good in concert but they're not the greatest musicians. And, they only have maybe 2 or 3 of the however many albums they released that are worth buying: Destroyer, Love Gun, and Psycho Circus.

KISS are more of business than a band. That's why you can get "Kiss Kaskets".

I saw them last October. KNOCKOUT.

Go and see them. It's like stepping back in time to a proper 80's rock concert.

Great band, although it's amazing how Reb Beach is so underused.
