"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we (the BCE) have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched." - Poppy Bush, 1992
Yes, and i get into it with people all the time.
Just finished a phone conversation with an old drummer friend a few hours ago who has a pretty nasty attitude about God.
We were discussing putting a Cafe Band together until i got tired of hearing every other word take the Lords name in vein.
It was all pretty much downhill from there and i don't think we'll be working together anytime soon.
I am interested in someday actually putting together a music ministry, but finding people to play with is looking impossible.
The usual suspects i have jammed with just aren't the type to place in front of a youth group.
That and i have some work to do on my own self improvement first.
Anger is still an issue for me, and i'm a pretty angry guy at times.
It's a bit scary too.

I couldn't agree more and to answer the initial question of your thread, my answer is a strong YES!!!
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them" (1:27). " ' I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you' " (12:2, 3).
Not meaning to go Katydid on y'all but I've always liked that bit. To each their own faith and I fully respect that. I just get a lot more out of my own life having a strong faith.

That's funny Cat cos I never noticed that about you. Jeesh, neither of us ever take the name of God in a vain oath on this board. Too cool my blood brother.
if earth was 10% closer, or farther,
to the sun, life as we know it couldn't exist.
(jester, sorry about all the spelling errors)
sure, there could be microbial organisms,
we'll probably discover that they're abundant
on warm wet planets.
but something as complex as an orchid, or an
earthworm, that is mind boggling.
consider that an oak tree is capable of self-replicating.
now consider the miracle of child birth,
or the myriad of sea creatures ranging from
microscopic plankton, to a 100 ton blue whale.
