Dave's had quite a career in the movies, although most non-Roth fans wouldn't know. George Lucas, who makes the Star Wars films, cast Dave as several different characters in his original trilogy. I've managed to snag a few of these still shots off of the internet and post them here with some info.
Starring as crack pilot David Lee Solo in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) right before the first Van Halen album came out:
Takes on the role of swave Lando Roth, Cloud City Administrator, in The Empire Strikes Back (1980). He did this job right before Van Halen's Women & Children First tour:
Dave tackles his greatest role yet in Return of the Jedi (1983), taking on the part of the young and reckless Luke Skyscraper, who's on his way to becoming the galaxy's greatest Jedi Knight:
