Hell yeah.
I think that it is one of Dave's best solo albums (ALAE and EEAS are up there with it).

What do you think of "Blacksand?"

Yep, Blacksand is great!
Sat here working on the PC trying to play some music that i haven't heard for a while.
Rainbow- Long Live Rock and Roll, Live- The Distance to Here, Bad Company, and I spied DLR.
Christ, i had forgotten how good it was.
Originally posted by BrownSound1 I'll tell you one song on that album that I cannot stand, and that is King of the Hill. Other than that I love the album.
There is definitely a group of people in the know who realize that CD rocks...if you dug what classic Van Halen was laying down, hard to imagine you NOT getting off on the DLR Band. One reviewer called it the best Van halen album since 1984. Even though he was obviously half-joking, it made total sense to me.
Probably gets the most spin time from me out of all of Dave's solo stuff outside of EEAS.
Relentless kicks ass, agreed. Even with Dave's voice a little ragged, he's going for fucking broke.
Only gripe is none of that great shit, save for Slam Dunk, got proper representation live. Would've loved to hear Little Texas, Relentless, Blacksand and Indeedido get aired in concert.
