Id love to hear this. If anyone has it, pass it along! I am catching the Chicago show. If he passes through your town, go catch his show. He puts on an awesome Rock & Roll performance! I've always tought Idol would rock with Eddie VH! If the rumor is true, it is going to be awesome to hear what that sounds like! BTW, go buy his new album, "DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND," it fucking rocks!!!

Well, for one, Derek Sherinian is touring on keyboards. He is tought of as one of the best in the business. Plus, I think Idol could pull of a great classic VH cover.

Anyway, i just don't think it's a good idea that's all, you know, a punk rocker doing a van halen song, defeats the purpose a little. Not only that, but, Billy Idol's voice, and stage presence are not really suited for the song. Therefore i don't think it's be such a cool idea.

I cant picture this in my head, but I would give it a listen..

I think Billy is great, as I do Dave and Van Halen..
His vocal style is nothing like Daves, so it would
be interesting to hear..

When you go to his site, samples from his new cd automatically start playing....and from what I hear there, he sounds like he's in pretty good form these days...
and don't forget he DOES have the Rothian scream down pretty well...
(Rebel Yell, etc..)
...He might just surprise ya on 'Jump'....

If he is going to do a VH tune, why Jump? He should do Atomic Punk, now that would be interesting....

Steve Stevens is a big Classic VH fan and at one time was good friends with Eddie.

So, I can see why he wants to play a CVH tune, but Jump??

Well, why not something else.
