Gotta agree with everything said by fellow Rothtards here except that I actually really like the first MONTROSE album. But that's it. It's still just dumb, cheesy 70s rock. A much better album that came out the same year? RAW POWER.

Sammy was in VH back in the 70s but he still was in Montrose and had a contract.
So since Davey had a pa system the Eddy, Al and mike A. let him in the band.
Then sammy quit montrose and join Van Halen.

Sammy alone was another thing. The red rocker has had some decent album, but far from what he's done even with VH.
