Dave flying through the air with the boombox is also hilarious in the Panama vid.

Reach down between my legs... Gotta be Panama. Still take Hot for Teacher over any song on 1984. Pure brilliance... :cato2:

When 1984 came out "Hot for Teacher" was the standout track to me. Don't you remember the first time you heard that drum intro? Panama doesn't rock as hard and isn't moving at the same time. Teacher had more attitude and Al's signature drum rhythm. They're both timeless classics though.

Me personally, I like "I'll wait" more than "Jump." I never liked top twenty hits is why. I'll Wait's got more rhythm to it. I'm worried that Dave wouldn't have enough musical input into the new band and the music would sound bland and Hagarized. This is a high tech site! :wow:

Depends on the time of day and day of the week with those two classics...

Ahhhh the good ole days relived at DLR's concert Friday night was the best thing that could've happened to me music-wise...Gave me that much more appreciation for the timeless CVH and solo DLR catalogs...

Drop Dead Legs is the finest tune on 84 for me,however I'll take Panama over Jump.

I dig the symbol work Al does on Drop Dead legs and Girl Gone Bad. He never got enough credit as an innovator, overshadowed by Ed. Especially when so many drummers seem interchangeable. :argh:
