Meh, I love twelve strings, but mostly for aucustic.

Though, A double neck guitar with 12 and 6, has always been a desire of mine for some reason.

My father got one acoustic.....

I once tried it and...... oh shit there comes good sound

They are pretty expensive.... I think that cheapests are somethin' like 500$.....

Money talks and Bullshit walks....

I've played shitty ones that were less than $400, but even those sounded good. I find that a shitty 12-string is harder to detect by sound alone than a shitty 6-string is.

I love em !

Anyone played a 12 string Maton ?
Reason I ask is that Maton make awesome acoustics and I
was wondering if there is a 12 string version out there.
Surely there is..

Do you tune all twelve strings as if it were a 6 string?

Panamark

I think the bottom four secondary strings are an octave up, top two the same, ie you tune the top e and top b secondary strings the
same as the primary top e and top b strings..

Oops, I should have added, yes its standard tuning like a normal
six string... Just tune the secondary EADG strings up an octave.
Top E an B tune the same...

Loons The Great

That sounds killer dude.

How long have you been playin' and how many other guitars do you have?

I never knew you played.

I've been bangin' on those poor strings since about 1991. I also have a '62 Yamaha acoustic that is tuned to open E and a useless Honduran ukelele'. I play a lil' piano and a whole lotta bad harmonica. I've done my homework with the blues but honestly my ego and drive far outdistance my talent.:D

I sent an awesome tape of blues to the Ribfest officials--fools never hired me to play some lowdown backporch blues, though.

Bro,

You should know better than anyone that with music (especially the blues) comes from the soul and not the talent. If that makes any sense?

I can shred like a motherfucker on my guitars. I have Eddie licks down to a tee. However, I cannot write shit cos I don't have "it" you know?

Totally fuckin' jealous about the harp man cos that's totally from the soul. If you can play that thing, you're a lot better off than you think. I bought one years ago and I made it sound like a retarded duck call. lol.
