    Paul Anka covers "Jump"

I know this will all chill everybody out here, but Paul's new album "Rock Swings" is out today and he sings Jump. Said Paul "There were good songs released in the 80's and 90's and Jump has that kind of swing sound. It lends itself to that crooning Frank Sinatra thing"

I guess Poundcake didn't cut it, nor did anything else from Spammy's era.

He also said "It's About Time and the other two songs on the Best of Diarrhea album didn't work for him either.

God Bless Diamond Dave and his sensibility to extend the boundaries of Rack n Rawl!

Remember Dave did cover Frnak Sinatra's "That's Life" from EEAS.

    Dave trancends rock and roll.

    He is da man.

That's why he made CVH so special and unique that set them apart from a regular rock band (accompanied by Ed's unique sound).

                        I heard it yesterday.

While its so far from the original, you'd think by listening to Paul Anka's version that Dave knew this song could be applied to 'swing/big band' music (taking into account his diverse tastes in music).

Its actually fun to listen to in a non-hard rock kinda way.

I'm about the same age as Diamond Dave, and the bottomline is that Dave's LOVE of all genres of music IS what made CVH what it is; Timeless!

Yeah, Paul Anka ain't my gear, but now that Frank is dead, Paul is the guy. This album might get some of you laid! (Hey, it might even help me with my wife)

That "crooning" style is SO part of REAL Dave fans, and the fact that he picked Jump (and that Pat Boone picked Panama) says a lot about GREAT MUSIC.

I find it funny, that nothing is ORIGINAL. Music always finds a way to come around, imitate iand reinvent itself.

Check it out. AS YOU GET OLDER, PAUL ANKA could be the answer to VH's singer.

("Hey, runnin" with the devil, yeah. My life wasn't so simple, hey, until I, Jumped out on that road, yeah!)

Sure, chicks love that kinda music.

I know cats that listen to gangster rap religiously who LOVE David Lee Roth!

Seriously, DLR is an icon because he took bits and pieces from many different styles to form one ULTIMATE entertainment package...

Even Jim Dandy says that Dave took his stage antics and mannerisms to a level he could've never imagined...
Without DLR in the lineup, Van Halen is merely Rat Salade...
