Leonard was certainly one of the greatest fighters of all time...very similar to Ali in that he was a thinking fighter...

and I disagree about him getting hit...

          Hearns nailed him...

          Duran nailed him...

          Haglar nailed him...

          all the greats nailed him...

don't forget a detatched retina retired him...he was certainly nailed...but didn't get stuck in slugging matches...

but Sugar Ray was a great fighter...he lost to Duran...then returned to cause the no mas...beat Hearns in which he was a puncher through much of the fight...

          retired 2 fights later...

He came back...beat Haglar in a brilliant fight...then fought Hearns to a draw (he lost)...the Duran...then retired again (he beat Donny LeLonde in there somewhere to get the Super Middleweight belt...and Light Heavyweight belt...

at that point...he'd held the welterweight, junior middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight belts...

          and he retired again...

he came out of retirement again...but shouldn't have...and got whooped on by a couple of guys...Macho Camacho was one of them...

Sugar Ray Robinson in this one....

Robinson was incredible...fighting for 25 years...winning the middleweight crown 5 times...

Robinson would give Leonard the beating of his life.

not only had a chin & was as fast but had more power than Hagler.

The real Sugar Ray in his prime
            was unbeatable by many
& could hold his own to this day..
with all balls id say he'd beat Roy Jones in his prime too..

            Robinson, an all time champ
            in any decade.

            He was an assasin.

It's always been done though in boxing...especially with the name "Sugar..."

And certainly Leonard did the nickname no disservice...

I'm kinda hoping people start calling me the "Brown Bomber" myself...

                      I'm not Brown...and I don't fight...but what the fuck...

if I were to fight Louis today...or Schmeling...I think I could take them...

Don't worry bro...it wouldn't be to an old folks home...it would be to the cemetary...Schmeling died this year...and Louis died in the early 70's...

like I said...they'd be no match...unless George Romero got ahold of them...

                          That would be something...Zombie Boxing...

which Zombie would win...Louis or Schmeling?

My money is on Schmeling...something tells me that German zombies are much worse than Bronx Zombies...

I'm going with the Nazis in this one...
