Someone obviously has way too much time on their hands.

Here is a math trick that stumped me. I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not running the country.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area
code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer ?

Well the final answer I got was my full ph. number. I'm sure there's a logical reason.

its just a math equation that any numbers plugged in in the right order comes out to the same numbers

707 + 707 = 1414.

LOL + LOL = Hihi.

I found that myself one day during a Math Test...
I was bored..

Ah, c'mon...you can read that a mile away when you're doing it. Now if it DIDN'T ask for the last four digits of your phone number, then that would be impressive.;)

I got 41846.

Twice.

Must only work in America.

I forget the equation, but it's sort of a joke that I believe involved Dolly Parton and the answer is 22378008. If you turn the calculator upside down the number reads to "BOOBLESS". There was another one that said "SHELLOIL". I remember these from grade school.

It's a common math trick. The numbers you add up to begin set up the ones you use at the end. It all ends up with your phone #. I give credit to someone for actually crunching the numbers to get the equation, but it's pretty common.
