I have around 400 CDs, that was last time I counted, which was last month.

      I don't know how many LPs I have. I'd say around 250-300.

      My topten looks something like

      1-Queen-Queen II
      2-Van Halen-Van Halen I
      3-David Lee Roth-DLR Band
      4-Yes-The Yes Album
      5-Judas Priest-British Steel
      6-Motorhead-Inferno
      7-Queen-The Miracle
      8-Pink Floyd-P.U.L.S.E.
      9-AC/DC-Powerage
      10-UFO-Strangers In The Night

Thats not too bad. A good friend of mine only has 15 CDs, and half of them are burnt from other people.

I have about 600 CDs, and approximately 250 LPs.

Complete collections "plus" (bootlegs) of the Stones, the Who, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, the Doors, Jeff Beck, J. Geils Band, CVH and DLR of course, the Police, Aerosmith, AC/DC, the Cult, the Black Crowes, and also every recording made by Jacques Brel, the overwhelming Belgian genius whom some of you might know of.
I don't mention other collections that are "short", like the Stooges (3 albums) for example.

My favorite (double) LP is "VANACTION", which includes 14 tracks of the 1983 US Festival, plus bits and pieces from other dates and places, Donington Castle 1984, "Sinner's swing!" at the L.A. Sports Arena (06/19/81), an "unreleased track" that isn't part of the Gene Simmons sessions, pretty funk in rhythm (at the Whiskey A Gogo, 12/31/1977), an overspeeding "Mean Street" (the location is not mentioned) and "Atomic Punk/Dreamer" from a Dec. 1977 radio show with an excellent sound, which is so rare with bootlegs. I would never give this one up, even for a fortune.

I have 518 CDs, counting box sets...

              I have 55 records.

I'm anal enough to have them all on catalog as well. I'd list every last one of 'em, but I'm sure the space it would fill would piss some people off.

As for top 10...I could never pick. It's different from day to day.

I don't even know. They are stacked all over the place in my living room. I lost quite a few when I got my divorce four years ago. I'd say about 400+, but I haven't counted in three years at least.

Between my girlfriend and I, we have well over 1000 cd's, they are all in the jewel cases and arranged in alphabetical order. CD's from the same band are in the order that they were released.

I recently added bootlegs into the mix, and I try to put them in chronological order with the band they are associated with. For instance, VH South American Assault sits in between DD and 1984.

It's really sick how anal I/we are about them, but I have NEVER lost a CD.

In fact, in college I had a spread sheet and kept track of who borrowed what disk and when, that way I could hunt their ass down if they held onto it for a long time.
