I remember hearing a rumour on here that Dave had recorded nearly a full length album for release around 1992/3, but then pulled it and changed direction with YFLM. I also saw this from a newsgroup posting back in late 1992(i was doing some Dave research) saying a then un named DLR album was due for release in December 1992.

anyone shed any light on this?

I think this tracks comes from that canned album
he always wanted to do the "diamond dave" covers album
i think around 1992-93 he wanted a change on his style
some tunes :
1 kicks
2 shine the light
3 seriously affected
4 kill the guy
5 cruel obsession
6 crosstown traffic
i dont remember if some tune is missing

i've heard the crosstown traffic song by him, sounds just like jimmy. I loved ALAE and wish he would play some of those tunes in his set.

I would REALLY dig hearing Dave's version of Crosstown Traffic....it is certainly a song Dave can related to and make his own...

I like Crosstown, but I find Dave trying "too hard"(the laugh is inserted at a horrible time) to cover it. I like "Kill the Guy" and "Cruel Obsession" best. Shine the Light' has got to be embarrassing, even for Dave. ;) Guitar work was alright, but his voice and lyrics are horrible.
