Doesn't sound like a guitar or a keyboard.....

Kinda sounds like the break in 'Light Up The Sky'...

Anyone?

EVH is pushing the strings of his guitar against the bridge pickup of the 'ol Frankenstrat, thus producing the werid effect!

Bass player is using the same technique on his bass............

But, he's still not as Kewl!

a guitar............one of two...............frankenstien charvel and/or explorer.............

if you read the VH interviews you' know he is creating the sound by using the pick to push the guitar against the pickup poles......

as did micheal anthony...........

he states this in several mag interviews in GUITARWORLD and GFTPM

check it out

I thought he was tapping the top of a Schlitz Malt Liquor can to keep it from spritzing 'cause Alex dropped it.
