    The Kobe revival continues

Nothing big yet...but...he's showing up in Nike print ads...

next year...apparently...he'll be back in Nike commercials...

and Magic predicted he'd win the MVP award last night...

And half the ladies in LA have offered to bend over a chair for him without screaming rape...

life is good for Kobe again...

Needs a lot more help from his teammates before he's even close to MVP status....

Yeah, they have to make their shots when he passes to him. He's easily got the numbers to be MVP.

And we'll see how Kobe does with the weight on HIS shoulders...

My TAKE on it...is the Lakers will be good again when they get someone else in there not to be Kobe's sidekick...

but to be his equal on offense...and the vocal leader of the team...

interestingly both Kobe and Shaq were referred to as 'franchise' type players. they could carry a team to a championship singlehandedly. unfortunately these 'great' 'franchise' players both had the same seats you and i had for the finals.

its known as the 'seinfeld syndrome'. seinfeld was a great show, very funny, great cast. when the show ended all of the various cast members had new shows come out. they all bombed, they werent good or funny. it showed very clearly that while they were great together, separately they suck.

kobe and shaq will never have it again as good as they had it, all do to ego.

They are franchise players, but there has NEVER been a player that has won a title by himself. Jordan didn't do it, Magic didn't do it, Bird didn't, Dr. J didn't, neither Shaq or Kobe did it alone either.

Kobe has had ONE injury plagued season, with a coach leaving midstream on a bad team to prove anything. He had a solid statistical year, he hardly "sucked." The team sucked. The part of his game that really fell off was at the defensive end, and that is just re-commitment.
