I lost hope after the last one, but this one truly is among the best rock CDs of the year.
And I mjst say Liam's songwriting contribuitons are fucking great. Love Like a Bomb is great stuff, and it takes a unique talent to get away with "Yer love's like a bomb/Yer blowin' my mind". A completely crap lyric, but somehow he makes it work,Last edited by academic punk; 07-18-2005, 09:53 PM. -

I remember Atomic Rob saying they were his favourite band.
Where has Atomic Rob been the past few months? I really liked that guy.Fast & Bulbous, Got Me?Comment

I don't know this recent album.. and i'm not too keen on these guys to start with but maybe it's worth listening.Comment

I like the first two albums, and Liam's live voice. I saw them live without Noel on 2000, didn't bother much, he's not that special on guitar...
Anybody remember the Hale&Pace sketch of Oasis?

Good band! The new one is the only one I don't have. Their b-sides album, THE MASTERPLAN, was really fantastic, let alone most of the albums.Roth Army Militia

Favorite band of the '90s so far (and by far).
Love and own all of their records.
Latest album imho is their 'weakest' album, but still a weak Oasis album (for me) is better than most people's strong albums.
The songs on DBTT sound more like Oasis B-sides to me.
I actually own 2 copies of the new record (regular version, and dual-disc version). And I will probably pick it up on vinyl.
Oasis totally blew me away with WTSMG and their live video "There And Then". That sealed the deal for me. They went from being lumped in w/ the rest of the 'BritPop' bands (which I dislike for the most part) to superstars.
First 2 albums are the classics.
3rd album is still probably my favorite. It's so bombastic like the music I grew up listening to.
4th album is their best sounding album.
5th album is basically a cross between their 1st and 2nd albums, a return to the basics.
6th album is slower tempo and more return to the basics, even though there is a lot of production on this record. First record of theirs that didn't blow me away immediately.Comment

I like Oasis. They have some good songs.
The only two bands which came out of the Britpop scene that were any good were Blur and Oasis.ROTH ARMY YOUTUBE CHANNEL:

I dont hate them, but I dont respect them that much.
They unashamedly borrow their songwriting directly from
the Beatles and dont deny it.
I can see how Beatles fans starved for new material get into
Oasis.BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !
