This at 499.00 is about 350 dollars or so less than at Music123.com etc..
I wonder if it is a b-stock item?
I wrote the guy and he swears it is brand new...
He has a few of them..

I almost dealt with someone like that on ebay when I was searching for a Steinberger copy.
Same situation where I mailed the guy and he had a few of them. I walked because I was suspicious but bookmarked the link and went back. Turns out the winning bidder lost his money (was a $450 dollar instrument for $160)
May even be the same dude, you never know.

I just wouldn't buy a guitar without trying it.

You get shit guitars that are good and good ones that aren't so great if that makes sense.

They're either made in Inchon, Seoul or China.
I'm guessing Guangzhou because of the list price: plus Fender has a partner factory with Samick in China that does all those $99 strats you see on sale at Guitar Center.

Similar features but standard humbuckers and smokin fast neck. They're made in Indonesia now, but an older used one on Ebay made in Korea.

I mean, if you don't care really about the Gretch name get a better guitar. But if you gotta have something traditional like the Gretch name on the peghead, the neck is probably just as fine, but I never heard of an "electromatic".

The name sure sounds like a vintage reissue! The reason the REAL reissues (Duo-Jet, White Falcon, Cuntrey Gentleman) get big money, $1400-up is because they're very well made, and in Japan, which labor is more costly.

But I do not recall "electromatic" in the vintage lineup of Gretch. Only Duo-Jets in that size.

That is a nice guitar. All the reviews I have read about it is stellar.

I got a chance to play an Electromatic at the Guitar center along with an Ibanez artcore.
I really liked both.
Actually... I liked the Epiphone Wildcat the most.

I am going to order a hollowbody and have it shipped home.. so it's there when I get back..

Oh yeah... Samick makes 80% of the worlds guitars.
They make Schecter, ESP, Silvertone and a bunch of other brands.

That doesn´t have to be a scam.

A shop here was selling Yamaha SGV800s at 40% of the original retail price, just when I was shopping for one (lucky me). They had just bought the whole batch Yamaha had brought to a music exposition so Yamaha let them have them real cheap.

Maybe this guy did the same kind of thing.
