9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush
has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along;

10. And finally one to confuse Americans about the difference between
screwing a light bulb and screwing the country.

At 8:14 am on August 27th there was a lightbulb failure of unknown origin that placed the hallway in the west wing of the White House into total darkness.
A team of investigators has been assigned to determine if this was indeed the work of Terrorists fully intent in sending us all into darkness, or a simple fillament failure.

The cost and timeline for this investigation is at this time, unknown.

The Department of Homeland Security has officially stated on record that these fixtures were supposed to have been replaced by flourescent lights, but allocation of those funds was suspended when threats against the light bulbs were discovered.

A White House employee went on record saying, "I don't understand it, that bulb has burned bright since i started working here in 1999", he also added, "That light bulb was just hanging there doing its job, why anyone would harm it is beyond me".

White House Officials could not be reached for comment beyond, "We are not prepared to make a statement as of yet", they also added, "We have to be careful at this time not to speculate on who attacked the light bulb".

The moment the bulb failed President Bush was whisked away aboard Air Force One to an undisclosed location.
