It's been awhile since the last Van Heineken update, so here goes.
There's this annual Labor Day weekend bash here...it's held @ this old-school drive in. Car shows, bike shows, bands, then B-movies at dusk. They bring in the directors, actors, etc. from the genre and everyone gets loaded.
This was Van Heineken's first participation in the annual debauchery, and it was one for the record books. I've been to a few of these deals, and let me tell you, the CVH really brings a crowd to a fever'd pitch like no other. Motherfuckers were singing along, bashing their heads on trucks, and just flipping the fuck out. The band's sets are pretty regimented as the music starts @ 2 and goes 'til dusk. Van Heineken received the first-ever crowd-demanded encore in the history of the deal. They were the last act before Nine Pound Hammer, the headliner. The singer for NPH, who also sat in on ATBL, commented after the encore:
How the fuck are we supposed to follow that?
