Description

A Van Halen black and yellow tribute guitar body that I bought at a local guitar show. This body looks to be made from ash wood and it has been striped up like the famous one. I would have loved to build it into a guitar but I have decided not to tackle this job right now. The paint is decent but I was going to sand some of the tape edges as they are a little rough and put some clearcoat on it to give it a really smooth finish. Most of the lines are good but a few of the smaller lines are a little rough around the edges (see pic). It has a hole for a volume knob and a back coverplate with a cover. It is routed for a trem but there are no post holes etc. The stripes appear to be pretty darn accurate. Great guitar to finish out or maybe just get a neck on it and some hardware and start playing some VH!

Strike while the iron is hot.
Anything striped up is selling like hotcakes at the moment.

For some reason people have this impression that doing a VH paint job is a science or something, lol.
