Hey! We Do Not Need The Sisters Anymore!

I was talking with a buddy of mine in Oregon tonight. He brought up something that I had not heard anyone say in quite this way....

We were discussing the fact that The Sisters fucked up all versions of the band Van Halen. They fucked with Dave, he was gone, they fucked Spambo the Flatulent, he was gone (twice!), they fucked with Gay Cherone, he was gone.

SO....the Sam & Dave Tour....The Bass Player went along for the ride....

My friend correctly pointed out that the Sam & Dave Tour had everything that was ever GREAT about VH without the Sisters even being there!!!!

They were able to shove shit RIGHT IN ED DRUNKBOTTLE and AL WIFEYBEAT'S FACE!!!

"HEY! DUMBASSES!!! WE CAN PLAY ALL THE VERY BEST OF VAN HALEN AND VAN HAGAR (that last is not saying much, but I digress) AND WE DO NOT EVEN NEED FOR YOU TWO LOSERS TO BE HERE!!"

Hell, didn't Gay Cherone come out and jam with Spambo and The Bass Player when the S & D Tour hit the Boston Area???

EVERYONE WHO WAS EVER IN VAN HALEN/HAGAR PLAYED ON THAT TOUR AND PLAYED THE BEST MUSIC THEY ALL CAME UP WITH AND DID NOT EVEN NEED THE SISTERS TO BE THERE!!!

    LAFF MY FUCKING ASS OFF!

Just as JoeThudner has been owned by every piece of physical matter on this planet, the sisters were owned by all the musicians who were ever in Van Halen with them, as well as ALL THE FANS who went and saw the tour!!

THE SISTERS WERE OWNED BY SEVERAL MILLION PEOPLE THAT YEAR!!

    What fucking losers.

    That's right.

"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."

I still like Ed and Al and their "End of the world" outro to songs live. The two of them know exactly what the other is going to do, and you would be hard pressed to find another band who sounds so spontaneous (although everything seems pretty stale right now)

I think the only chance music has a chance at recovering is for a miraculous turn-around on Ed's part and CVH paving the way for a rebirth of Big Rock.

Only thing worth listening to now is Foo Fighters and Audioslave, and they kinda suck too.

Sure they are complete dicks, but the world still needs CVH (No I am not smoking anything right now)

'Bout the only use I have for Ed and Al is in regard to their participation in releasing any CVH music and footage that has as yet to see the light of day. Don't even care if they reunite with Dave anymore. In many ways, would prefer they didn't. The whole thing would just ring hollow after all the shit they've pulled.

So, um, basically, outside of them helping to get that unreleased CVH stuff made available, er, pretty much fuck 'em both.

That is true Gary played on When it' slove in boston. I always laughed that the tour was Original, replacment and his replacemnt all wrapped in 1 tour. Pretty ironic I guess.

Gary's a Roth fan like us, he grew up on CVH, not VHagar.

And BTW - the only - ONLY - reason he joined Scammy on stage was b/c Scammy asked him.....

FYI Gary only wanted to play CVH songs and VH3 songs LIVE in '98, but Ed insisted on 1 token song per Hagar album - and that's exactly how the playlist was decided....

While I don't in the least like the way the VH Bros./Scammy/Mikey treated DLR, I also don't feel it's fair to wish anyone harm, including the unappreciative members of Van Hagar....

Hey if they wanna harm themselves by drinking themselves to death, more power to them!

At least then we would put the CVH Reunion rumours to rest once and for all!

Geez that photo is a little sad. Some people age well. Ed is NOT one of those people.

You know...I think the safe play right now in the Roth World is to say that the best way for everything is no Ed and Al.

Fact: Ed and Al aren't ever going to be back in Van Halen. They haven't been in that group in 20 years...and won't be again.

but if you think that Dave's current band is better than Van Halen on their worst day, you are sadly wrong.

As most of you know, my feelings for spED and phAlex are non-existant. To me, those guys are lower than trash. I enjoyed the Sam and Dave tour...the Dave portion. As Va Beach will tell you...I walked out of the Sam part...and would have walked up onto the stage and pissed on Bette if I could have (and in the state of drunkenness I was in...would have had Dave performed first).

But again, as Good as that DLR Band version that was...no way...

I will say I think there are better line-ups for Dave than spED and PhAlex, but not the current...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

                            I would tend to agree.

Nobody can beat the chemistry of the original CVH.

But yeah....heres to Ed The Drunk and Al Wifeybeater sunking into obscurity....

for 1, nobody and I mean nobody ever owned van halen. only in your dreams. the dlr band could'nt hold a candle beside van halen. and how did van halen fuck up all versions of themselves?? dave left on his own the fucking moron. I think he's come to regret it dearly. whats he gonna do play vegas? that shits funny. his old wrinkled up ass hangin out singin' everybody wants some for elderly people. as far as the sammy break-up, he said himself it had a lot to do with cabo. van halen did'nt wanna be a traveling commercial. fuck sammys electric palm tree. he sold out. eddie and gary decided they are better apart. it did'nt work and record sales proved that. but hell, you gotta give gay cherone credit for singin the old shit. you say the Sam & Dave Tour had everything that was ever GREAT about VH ??? lmfao. it did'nt have van halen:confused: . sorry but the black guy playing guitar for sammy could'nt even bend eddies whammy bar. and shame on you ass clown 5150! die sisters die? quit listening to puff diddy and 50 cents and get medicated. and I agree with pojo, the way it looks van halen is not going to get back with roth. I think they can all share the blame. not just ed and al. dave is no angel. you cant let all the staleness now ruin the fact that they were the greatest rock band of all time. none of these little whiny screaming fag pussies of today or any one else will ever come close to the mighty van halen.
