But then he also used to claim that VAN HALEN's first No. 1 single was inspired by a stripper....Initially resisted by Roth, who feared cries of "sellout", it's as evocative of the '80s as TOP GUN."

      Thanks Matt!

"Jump" had to be top 25.

From Dave's cool lyrics, to his vocal treatment, Eddie's solo, the video, all of it memorable with a timeless quality.

"Jump" was everything Van Hagar wanted to be, but with the limited Sammy, was never cool enough to convince the masses and pull it off.

Blender magazine has been cool towards Old School VH. I love JUMP and HOT FOR TEACHER...but I'll always feel that they are always looked over. Why? I have no fucking clue. Rollingstone magazine on the other hand can fuck off cause that shit is just pathetic..

We could argue and say all DLR era songs should be on the list but fact remains Sammy's nowhere to be found.
When the shit hits the fan, close your mouth and duck.

Sure I can....look at that disaster of an outift Dave is wearing...what the frig is that? And remember,it's mostly guys that go to VH shows.....Thats almost as bad as the assless pants.

Jump? Come on...it appealed to the masses as it was a song that made hard rock really cool....Personall, WCTBL and Humans Beings far outrock those two songs

                      BAM

                        What Dave's wearing?

                        Mostly guys?

                        Are you gay?

                        Outrock?

                        Yep, you are gay.

The issue is: How many Sammy/VH songs made it.

                        Answer: none.

The only thing you touch is yourself.

                          Ummm Matt,

Only TWO Van Halen songs mentioned out of 500?

                          That fucking blows.

And neither one made the top 100.

I agree. I mean, what a fucking joke. Lemme guess...five U2 songs scored higher than classic VH songs, huh?

Man, I'm so fucking sick of U2. Used to like 'em, but man they get too much credit.

The only reason people think U2 are legendary, is because they are better than 99% of the rest of the music that sucks!
