View Full Version : Should I sue Fender?

oh yes, I should, because they injured me with their guitar(Custom shop '54 strat).

look at the pic below and notice some screws sticking out of the saddles. they scratched my right hand suddenly when I was playing Sling Shot(my fave Jeff Beck tune). I was playing with the greatest care, but it happened. so, I can say with confidence it was not my fault.

how do you think of this problem? now my hand is covered with blood...:(

Oh c'mon, Cato...grow a fuckin' pair, buddy!
If you're gonna cry over a little screw scratching you i don't think you need to own any guitars.
Just go ahead and ship 'em over here to me and let a real man play them, lmmfao.

I'll take whatever amps ya got lyin' around too..... ;)

Those long screws might be historically accurate. On the original old Fenders, the saddles were covered by a metal plate. Players removed the plate because it was in the way and they couldn't muffle the strings with the plate on. Since you bought a reproduction of a historic guitar, that could be on purpose. Did the guitar you ordered come with the metal plate?

I've owned a ton of Strats and never had screws that long on any of them, but I never owned a 50's Strat so I don't know if that's how they were originally. It's either one hell of defect and shitty quality control or it was done on purpose.

Is that screw rusty at all?

If so you may want to visit the doctor and get a tetnas shot, brotha'
or however you spell that word.

don't take this seriously eh?
I was so bored that day I was arranging my tool box. I found some too long screws there and mounted them on my guitar, and took a pic.... everything is a joke. my strat doesn't have any problem. I'm playing it like mad everyday.

Cato
09-28-2005, 09:13 AM
but I still don't know why I had them.

Ha, what did you use for blood?
It's a little too red but it's hard to tell that it isn't real in the pic.

The little dark spot on the hand gave a real good impression of a wound, too.

My hat is off to ya!
I thought it was bullshit at first but ya managed to rope me in, ya idiot.

Oh well, you are on your way to being a primo attention whore, congrat's...
