TV comedian Ronnie Barker has died after a long illness, his agent confirmed today.
The TV legend, famous for his hugely successful show, The Two Ronnies, was 76.
Barker is thought to have been ill for some time.
His agent Rosalind Chatto said he died yesterday at 12.15pm after a long period of heart trouble.
His wife was with him.
Ms Chatto said: ``He died yesterday after a long period of heart trouble.
“He died peacefully and his wife was with him. He had been nursed at home for a long time.”
Barker will be remembered as one of the most successful TV comedians of all time.
As well as The Two Ronnies, he also found success with Porridge and Open All Hours.

Political correctness drives me insane. Thames Television canned Benny Hill in a very rude way because too many people were complaining that the show was sexist. Go figure. Women today spend a fortune on boob implants, bikini waxing, makup, sexy clothes and swimsuits to make us horny men notice them. Nothing has changed. It's just when it's potrayed in an entertainment form sarcastically, it's sexist. Well, hey, the story of life is horny men chasing a piece of ass and everything that takes place in that adventure.
