What's your favourite Priest era? Mine are The Hell Bent For Leather era 1978 and DOTF era 1984.

      79 - 84

Began listening 84, when I bought Screaming For Vengeance. Then I got british Steel and then Hell Bent For Leather. That was a couple of months before they released Turbo Lover and from that point on I lost interest

I'd say from British Steel to Screaming For Vengeance.

Listened to Defenders of the Faith. Am in there with Saint...heard Turbo and pretty much stopped listening, although Painkiller was a good track.

The name Sammy Hagar conjures up a variety of emotions from music fans--from hate to contempt, from disgust to revulsion.

              1975-1980.

The stuff they did in that time was really groundbreaking for Metal.

Twin guitars, double bass drums, Halford`s unmistakable vocal style, every new album had something that hadn`t been heard before: "Sad wings of destiny", "Sin after sin", "Stained class", "Killing machine" (it`s UK title) and "Unleashed in the east".

It`s all good, but that`s my favourite era.

                    1997-2001, Ripper era.

                    hahaha. Just kidding.

                    For me, I'd say 1979-1984.

My fave Priest albums are all there -- British Steel, Point of Entry, Screaming and Defenders.

                      80' - 84' for me

"British Steel" grabbed my interest and I feel they began getting weaker after "Defenders of the Faith". But they've returned with "Angel of Retribution" which rocks !!! In my opinion.

                        Agreed.

While Angel of Retribution is no Defenders or Screaming, its a good album and a great comeback for Priest.

I'm partial to the older stuff, but it's all good up to the grindcore experiment. I think I mentioned that "Hero Hero" compilation being a good sampler of the older stuff. "Point Of Entry" might be underrated....'Desert Plains' fucking owns on a good stereo.

                              Oh yeah!

Desert Plains is one of my favorite Priest songs.

The live version on the remastered CD of Point of Entry ROCKS!
