Washington, D.C. - United States President George W. Bush threw a party today in honour of the U.S. led war in Iraq.
Catered by Halliburton, the festivities began with a rousing rendition of "For Dubaya's a Jolly Good Fella!" led by the vocal stylings of John Ashcroft.
The party, which had a rather GOP-friendly invitation list, featured a silent auction of many of the personal effects that once belong to Saddam Hussein but have since been "placed under the protection of coalition forces".
Colin Powell, who really DOES look like the lead singer of the Fine Young Cannibals, got things off to a funky start with a southern hospitality dance number in honour of the legendary Uncle Tom.
"It was very moving - reminded me of Sammy Davis Junior with the tap number" said Dick Cheney "and I sure wish my daughter Mary would stop being a lesbian."
Former President Bill Clinton did get an invitation, but was unforseably detained by Sen. Hillary Clinton and could not attend. Apparently, Hillary had caught him buying cigars just before leaving for the party.
George W. was quoted as saying "The U.S. War in Iraq is just like the movie Deliverance. You remember that one? That was the one where a couple of good ol' boys... ah never mind."
The "Deliverance" themed party continued until the wee hours of the mornin' with just enough banjos, chewin' tobbaco and Iraqi spoils for everyone.
