    New Ozzy Cd

I just picked it up today. I was a little reluctant to support the Sharon money making machine. But when i found out Jerry Cantrell was the guitarist on it i just couldnt resist.

He's got a pretty interesting selection of songs he chose. I personally think his version of John Lennons "Woman" is pretty good.

Its nice to hear an Ozzy album without Zakks annoying pinched harmonics everywhere. Its been so long!

    "Under Covers" track listing:

    01. Rock Mountain Way (JOE WALSH)
    02. In My Life (THE BEATLES)
    03. Mississippi Queen (MOUNTAIN)
    04. Go Now (MOODY BLUES)
    05. Woman (JOHN LENNON)
    06. 21st Century Schizoid Man (KING CRIMSON)
    07. All the Young Dudes (MOTT THE HOPPLE)
    08. For What It's Worth (BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD)
    09. Good Times (ERIC BURDON)
    10. Sunshine of Your Love (Cream)
    11. Fire (ARTHUR BROWN)
    12. Working Class Hero (JOHN LENNON)
    13. Sympathy for the Devil (ROLLING STONES)

Is this disc any defferent than the one in the box set? I'm an Ozzy fan, but I won't be getting this. I heard Mississippi Queen on the radio awhile back, it was pretty good.

Sounds like the same disc to me. I'm guessing the box set failed to make the amount of money Sharon needed for her next face lift, so they decided to spin the covers album off on it's own, as it was the only "new" material on the box (from what I remember)

Also more evidence that Ozzy is useless without a bass player who writes lyrics.

Actually, with three John Lennon covers on the record, it will probably pay for Yoko's next face lift too.

Actually it has most of the songs from the box set with 3 extra ones.

They haven't played anything off of it out here...however, I have been hearing a SHITLOAD of Iron Maiden on the new rock channel lately, so...I guess they took their side...lol...

I won't buy it...Ozzy's a studio creation at this point, and I just can't stand his vocals being reproduced by Protools...

Love Ozzy, but I'm not shelling out for this....Maybe if I find it in a pawn shop in 6 nonths, but this is just Christmas gouging...

There's absolutely no reason for this CD, other than Sharon needs another fucking facelift and is sending poor Ozzy's ass back into the studio to make a buck. Does ANYONE need another useless covers album from anyone???? They are about as useless as the endless tribute albums.

                    Covers albums suck.

If you want to hear a song, why not put on the band who sang it rather than some fuckhead.

                    Tribute my ass.

Just ripping off the hardcore fans.

If he did a tribute to Ray Stevens, I'd buy it.

Ive never liked Ozzy. People seem to think that cuz your a metal fan you gotta like it all. Like it comes in a fucking package. Ozzy has worked with many great musicians, however, Im not a fan so I wont pick this up.

It's amazing. Love this CD. You would think that Ozzy lost his edge over the years but he still rocks heavier. The true King Of Heavy Metal. Nice work, Ozzy. Great covers and a great gift for us fans worldwide!
