Milwaukee-based BEATALLICA, a satirical mashup act whose hilarious schtick marries the songwriting prowess of the BEATLES to the deep-throated rock growl of METALLICA, have lined up the following U.S. dates during November/December:
Nov. 28 - Columbus, OH - Little Brother's
Nov. 29 - Washington, D.C. - Black Cat
Dec 01 - Baltimore, MD - Fletcher's
Dec 02 - New York City, NY - Knitting Factory
Dec 03 - Philadelphia, PA - North Star
Dec 04 - Boston, MA - Middle East
Dec 05 - Brooklyn, NY - TBA
Dec 07 - Fort Wayne, IN - Piere's
Dec 08 - Detroit, MI - Small's
Dec 10 - Chicago, IL - Subterranean
Dec 11 - Milwaukee, WI - Vnuk's Lounge
BEATALLICA recently received help from METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich in their dispute with the Sony Corporation over BEATALLICA's "unlawful use" of the group's compositions "without authorization or license." The case has since been resolved, with BEATALLICA being allowed once again to operate their web site, Beatallica.org, and continue performing their patented blend of BEATLES tunes in a METALLICA style.
